Conversion weapons

Hey guys,

So I’ve noticed a few weapons that will convert a percentage of one damage type to another. So I was wondering if I were dual wielding spark of ultos and warpfire and I were doing a lot of cold damage how is it split between the weapons? Do both weapons use the maximum amount of the cold damage pool or is it split somehow?

I have a dual wielding spark of ultos trickster and she does almost no cold damage (I have something like 94% cold->lightning conversion with those two). Damn fun build.

Edit realized that was not what you asked…

Lets say you deal 1000 Cold damage. Spark will convert X% of that to lightning, Warpfire will convert y% to fire. With the values shown on grim tools (45% on both), you will deal 450 lightning, 450 fire and 100 cold damage.

Unless I’m greatly mistaken and talking nonsense.

Would you mind posting a grimtools of your character? When you say doing almost not cold damage do you mean because it is all being converted or because you haven’t specced into anything that gives much cold damage? I’m wondering if damage from shadow strike and things if the cold damage is also converted to lightning and how that works.

I’de take a look at Ch’thon’s Lightning Trickster for an in-depth look at how conversion on weapons can be used as an example. A lot of his other guides involve similar weapons such as Temporal Tempest or the Decree of Alritch.

I’m playing Cornucopia and sadly grim tools doesn’t accept characters from modded games.

As Baka said, take a look at the linked build. Mine is very similar. The idea is to stack as much flat cold damage from nightblade as possible and convert it to lightning via weapons.
