Crafting new material from the old ones ?

Hello,

Is it possible to craft / get new material (for example wendigo spirit, aetherial missive, etc) from the “old” ones (blood of chthon, tainted brain matter, tec) ?

I haven’t gotten that far myself yet, but have read posts saying that on Elite or above you can find a random blacksmith in a cavern who will allow those kind of creations. He’s just a better version of the ‘Cursed Blacksmith’ found just South West of the Necropolis. I don’t remember the exact post, so you’ll have to troll through them all. Sorry…
