Crash When Examining Exhaust Vents.

Same Vent crashes every time.

I only have Wanez Mod and Grim Dawn + Crucible + Ashes of Malmouth, but I am playing a custom game using wanez mod doing campaign not crucible mode.

Anyone can please help me?

It freezes and I Have to end task … i can not pass this point in the game.

Disable the mod.

Disable the mod and try again. If it still won’t work, verify the files.

Might want to make some backups of your saves just in case.

If I disable the mod, I will just end up in a new campaign though to pass that point. If I re-enable the mod, i will be back to where i was when loading the custom map no? (Before examining the vent that causes the crash, meaning disabling the mod will not pass the point for the mod… so in otherwords, i would just have to start over and not use the mod again , but other people have used this mod without the issue, so i do not think it is the mod. My character is not usable if i disable the mod anyways.

The game has had updates, there is a good chance an update broke the game for you. It’s also possible the mod has an issue with your setup, and not most others. Your system, or your character build might have something that has issues with the mod. Mods are far less stable than the regular game.

That said, go to Steam and verify your files. Maybe there is an issue with them. You will probably have to reinstall the mod after, but your save files are untouched.

Well, if you don’t disable the mod, you’re stuck. If you do disable the mod, you’re starting over, but you’ll be able to complete the game. I don’t know what the mod does that you’re using, but if it doesn’t change skills/masteries/devotions, your character should be fine to use outside the mod.

Your call.

Thing is, if it was the mod, than most likely other people would be experiecing this issue as well… And if I do uninstall the mod and I end up back in the same location and the crash still occurs, than it will be done for nothing and I will still be experiencing this issue. If anyone has a save from that quest just to examine the third vent so I can test it to see if it is the mod or a corrupt installation but I have reinstalled and have the same issue. I guess I will have to try redownloading the game client than.

Hopefully that will work.

As nobody else is having this issue without the mod, there’s a very high probability that it’s either the mod or an error with your other game files. Easiest fix is to reinstall game/mod, if that doesn’t work then it’s the mod.

Because you are using a mod, you are in a position where there are not many other people playing it like you. Where there are a million people with the game, there may be 100 playing with that mod. They might not be using the same build as you, or have slightly different system setup. The odds of someone else playing exactly like you, when there is so few people playing it with that mod, is much lower.

If it wasn’t the mod, it is FAR more likely that others would be having the issue. The chances of you knowing about others with the mod having issues are much smaller, since the amount of people using the mod is going to be a much smaller user base.

Verify the files, or reinstall. If that doesn’t work, you could try removing all your skills, and gear (after clearing the area), to see if it is related to something of that nature. Otherwise, your only option is to remove the mod.

If you want better advise, you need to go to the thread/forum where the mod is, or talk to the coder of that mod. We aren’t going to be able to do much for you here.

yup… you are absolutely right, turns out it was the mod causing the issue, sorry for my misunderstanding.
