Crucible freshman challenge?

I was thinking if it can be fun/possible to start the crucible on a level 1 hardcore character and play only that, as a Survival mode.

I tried it only once and hit a wall with a rotten soldier wave, but only because I didn’t realize you get a fallen soldier to click which drops potions!
(Or maybe I got that one because I died/quit?)
Now I will eagerly go back and try again, this could possibly give me a new way to play and enjoy the game, although I expect completing the first 10waves as a new character is going to be bad.

Anyways, people already tried I’m sure, so please share your experience!

I made it to the 10th wave! :open_mouth:
Gonna try again and use the terrain to my advantage even more and shfit click to slash before they get in range when I want to kite.
Having fun anyway.
Corpse gave me 4 health potions and 2 energy potions, if it’s random maybe I can get more lucky with that rate.

edit:
Ok I made it! Took a bit of brain, which is mainly why it was so fun
It was really close since you only have 4 potions at your disposal (the stash is off limits of course, only stuff found in the crucible can be used, except blueprints I guess)
Now I collected my reward, I’m level 8 and with a full inventory! Off to more challenge, and wondering what class to roll.

I think its possible, i believe Crate has been patching crucible to be possible to play all the way until max level. But hardcore would be quite a challenge

Yes, definitely! I’ve been playing it a bit more, and you can do just that.
It’s a lot of good fun even alone (having huge trouble playing grim dawn with friends these days… I guess the Crate servers are still on and off; we did ALL the troubleshooting to no avail, I guess ISP and/or double router is the issue).
Another reason why it’s so fun is because I’ve been thinking what character to roll and I tried to come up with something Crucible-designed. Arena-designed. So for now I have a soldier with forcewave, blitz and cadence, deciding where to put these other points I got and deciding if I wanna take Nightblade to get pneumatic burst for safety and maybe the throwing blades with removed cooldown (then i’d have to drop cadence…?). All to come up with a build that takes advantage of the arena layout.
So yeah, it’s pretty exciting! And Hardcore Crucible like this sounds pretty fun.
