DA in gladiator crucible

Hi,

I tried to complete Gladiator crucible for the first time since the expansion. I took special care to get overcapped resistances and high defensive ability, with a defensive devotion setup (my char is a caster purifier)
Everything was fine until wave 150 where two iron maidens spawned. I was not able to facetank them for more than 3-4 seconds and experienced huge damage spikes, I had to kite them. I wasnt able to kill them because of their low health proc, my crucible buff ran out and I eventually died.
With 2776 DA, Maidens still had 10% chance to crit me…

I could reach 3000 DA with some gear changes but it seems a bit too much for a caster and I would lose dps.

For those who are able to beat crucible consistently, how high is your DA?
Does Iron maiden cause you a lot of problem?

Dual Iron Maiden spawns is about the worst luck you can have in Cruc. IM gave me all kinds of trouble in campaign and Cruc, so yes, IM causes me a lot of problems.

I think double Iron Maiden causes some trouble for all characters. She is a really unfair opponent especially for casters. Charge, stun and insane physical damage. Cannot be kited.

10% crit chance at that DA is quite high I think, maybe that was a Brutal Iron Maiden, you should check the mutators.

actuapanda: the mutators were fine, no cruel or brutal

Maybe it spawned with +OA gear…

Seems it’s bad luck, I will beef my char a bit and try again.
