So im gonna be straightforward…dagallons set needs an effective buff.
Its obviously demo/inquisitor set, so naturally gonna want to use firestrike…the problem is, the set itself wastes a lot of firestrikes effective damage output.
First: i think its obvious that those 2 weapons need to have BOTH set themed elements on them, fire and lightning (at least %mods)
As of right now i just ignore the setbonus and use 2 fire guns, otherwise would be to big of a dmg loss.
Second: Firestrike itself is an awesome skill but it has a huge chaos damage portion, not supported by the set… it wastes a lot of its damage.
So the obvious thing would be a full conversion chaos to fire/lightning…either on those weapons or on the set bonus.
A full conversion phys to fire/lighning on temper, and a respective conversion on burting round etc. and on range expertise.
I donno guys something needs to be done…cuz its a cool set.

Who sad we should pick this or that?..i mean look at darkblaze set, thats a solid thing lol exactly how a set should be made…it converts firestrike dmg types to its own theme on top of CoF.
Daggalon is a weird set. Guns are God tier, hat is okaysh, but chest armor is awful. The set is unusable as Mortar trap spammer cause with zero %CDR and zero cost reduction it never gona work that way. And the set is super squishy for autoatacker, so we rarely see Daggalon action in Crucible when 100% piercing from guns could make a difference.
So my suggestions :
Autoatacker? Give us 15% phyz resist as full set bonus.
Mortar trap spamer? Give us CDR and mana cost reduction.
I wouldnt say its weird…its just incomplete, the idea is cool but the outcome is allover the place.
If u look at the guns, the natural thought is firestrike…those guns WOULD be godtier with a 50% chaos to fire/lightning conversion for firestrike on each gun…
Then u have 4piece lacklaster conversion for word of pain wich is a cool idea but shit implementation…cuz crate forgot death sentence? ull end up with like 3x more fire damage then lightning for the skill itself…wtf? convert that shit evenly or to 100% fire on the whole line (that shit offsets the whole fire&lightning theme of the set)
Mortar trap is just a little stun aoe bonus nothing more (cool thing cuz the trap itself has a collison mesh for mobs but not for ur char, u can almost lock grava in spot between 3 well placed traps so its an OP mob blocker)…u can max out only 2 skill-lines with the set anyways, so its FS and either WoP like a DD or CC/res-debuff skill or mortar like a DD/CC line…FS is the only real dmg option with those Guns.
WoP and mortar dont even come close. Maybe if u could spam mortar like WoP.
The ez way of fixing that shit would be conversion as i sad before…and leave WoP as a debuff and mortar as an aoe/cc addition.
Dagallon’s problem is that it needs to stop dabbling here and there. Either be about guns, or about traps. Not both. lose the traps and make it about guns
I dont think it was intensional from crate to make it a trapper set…u dont do a double-gun set to be played as a trapper, thats retarded, it was obviosuly a try to make a gunslinger setup with a trap utility…a failed try imo but no problem that can be fixed ez, thats why we are here, right. I hope crate hears us.
On the other hand if it were meant to be a mortar trapper, they would delete cd completley…anything else just wont cut it. There are 2 items with 1 additional mortar summon as of right now (correct me if im wrong) that means 4 in total…that would be cool and OP, not gonna happen. If they reduce cd for like 50% (2.5 sec i believe) that shit stil wont cut it, to low fire rate and aoe of the trap, big one triggers too infrequently, without big one mortar dosnt hit shit and u still have to wait 10 sec to get all 4 of them out…in 10 sec shits gonna die even with the current crippled version of the set just by spamming FS…with exception of bosses.
I tested full set and as I trough it don’t work .
What`s wrong with it?
1)Mana PITA. As Mortar+Autoatacker purifier you are supposed to drop mines, mortars, seals, spam flashbang and word of pain. Well, you cant. One cast sequence and you re out of mana. Two cast sequence and you are out of mana and out of mana from energy potion. And there is no options for purifier to replenish it, cause we wearing non-caster armor and DW pistols.
Solution:
Energy rolls plz? Pretty plz, at least 800 flat energy and 10 regen per second on set.
2)Lack of skill points. Weird bonuses to non-fitting skills
Hat + hand slot is a place to find +3 all. Well, only the hat provide +1 demo. We are clearly short of points to fill even Firestrike line+ mandatory support stuff + two WPS. Most notable - we cannot cap Static strike and brimstone, so our autoatack dmg is extremely low. What`s weird - Word of pain bonuses and word of pain modifier. It delude our Skill point pool even further and require extra cast to benefit from %RR
Solution:
+1 Demo/Inquis as 4 piece bonus. Drop Word of pain line bonuses, add Seal/Static strike/Brimstone bonuses. Put RR somewhere else - on WPS mb?
3)Lack of conversion for mortar trap phyz dmg.
The guns are pure fire/lightning guns and provide no conversion. So half of Mortar trap dmg is wasted cause we cannot convert it by any means.
Well, its obvious that we need to convert half of phyz to fire and other to lightning. I suggest to put these modifiers on every gun.
4)Squishy.
Well, yes. Daggalon Chest piece is as good as plain shirt in terms of tankiness.
Solution:
Some meat would help a lot. Most notable %phyz resist, or active aura with flat absorb.
