Davyria Heroes of Eternity

I think I’m going to make blocking stronger so that you don’t get health damage if you block a weak enemy or an arrow. However, it will still cost stamina, because it would be too easy if you just can hide behind your shield. You find stronger shields, which reduce the stamina damage in the later game  .

Rolling is very important in the game, so if you have a problem with the first boss, you may try to dodge his attacks and attack him afterwards. There are a lot of Youtube Clips, where you can see how to defeat the first boss.

There are also more options to heal yourself in the later game (you can find or buy food).

sounds good, yea making blocking only cost stamina seems much better, before you HAD to use food or a regen stone, because you will get hit eventually with blocking by an arrow or a melee attack

Yeah, that sounds good. If you read my edit, maybe this could help a bit? another idea is, maybe have two energy bars, one for attacking, the other for blocking and rolling. (maybe they can be increased by two different stats? blocking and rolling = agility, while attacking energy could be increased / governed by strength?

my main gripe is, like I said above, if you block too much, you have no energy for attack, if attacking, no energy for blocking. having two bars should deal with this problem. you could make the blocking and rolling bar pretty small, then pumping agility will slowly increase it, giving you more to block. instead of having different shields to decrease the amount of stamina per block?

PS, got the game, so will be interested in seeing how the game develops.

I like this as I still think it should cost stamina.

In Dark Souls you could improve your shield to perform better, I don’t recall if it improved damage absorbed or reduce the amount of stamina.

Of course, then you’d need to add crafting.

I don’t like this. Stamina is stamina and this is what it is used for. Part of the game is to manage resources.

You just need to upgrade your Condition stat (I think that’s the right stat) to increase your stamina.

I think you guys are right. A critical aspect of the game is resource management. So nearly every action costs stamina and you have to plan your actions carefully
