I am noticing that after a battle or a raid, dead soldiers are still on the company roster and need to be manually removed. They show up as alive (not like the previous glitch where their dead bodies would be dragging around). Sometimes when I try to delete them from the company it doesn’t register unless I recruit more people.
On what could be a related note, some soldiers from the company will move with the group to locations on the map, but will not move when requesting to retreat the entire group to garrison.
I have the same issue, no mods. I backed up a save that illustrates the issue, but it can’t be uploaded here so how do I send it to you?
Some additional details:
I think the soldiers legit died in combat at some point, but then “returned to garrison” where they show empty health bars but appear to continue with random activities like going to the pub.
i can continue to send the dead soldiers out to attack raiders etc., but they don’t do any damage and can’t be attacked back.
the barracks shows 0/12 soldiers but if i try to recruit more, I can only recruit up to 12 inclusive of the dead guys, even if i disband & recreate the unit
destroying the barracks doesn’t get rid of the dead soldiers either
