Demolisher or Demolitionist?

To be fair, Warcraft did come up with some cool names for things. Like the Spell Breaker, the “warriors trained to disrupt and contort magical energies.”

Massive shields, magic immunity, and general badass-ness all in one!

And after all, if GD becomes a hit it can re-define what gamers associate with the term “Sapper”!

perhaps you should consult wikipedia, the term sapper has been used for a long time,

as a military engineer that can perform anything from bridge destroying, laying or clearing minefields, also the commando series of games also has a sapper, so its not just warcraft that uses that term, and I like the term sapper then Demolitionist, as sapper is a better term

Oh I knew already that Sapper meant what it meant before Warcraft, I was just saying that Warcraft did come up with some cool stuff in reply to Shoganai’s comment saying Sapper will always remind him of a goblin unit from Warcraft, and that hopefully if GD becomes a hit, gamers will now associate Sapper with GD.

For example, the term Barbarian to gamers instantly makes them think of the Diablo series, as their melee tough guy was always called the Barbarian. So I was saying a quick word that rolls of the tongue easy like Sapper, that also could become “associated” with GD if it becomes a hit, would be good as the Demo class title.

Also, the definition of Sapper seems perfect for the demo class title as it is, so overall I’d rather it over Demolisher (which brings to mind a hulking brute with a sledgehammer) or Demolitionist (too long and wordy for some, and it pretty much means the same as Sapper)

Well in dota (w3mod) they weren’t called spell breaker, but Silencer. So pretty dull name again.

Silencer? Huh, kinda takes away the cool-ness from it. :undecided: I’ve always loved the term Spell Breaker, since WC3 and TQ!
