One shotting players with the HOMING nullification projectile needs to be looked at, asap.
Here’s the thing: if you keep the AOM Nemeses above the power of vanilla Nemeses, what motivation you have to farm them if the old Nemeses are easier and have the same exact rewards? None, you don’t want to farm them because why would you when the older Nemeses are easier and have the same exact rewards. And even then, tanky melee builds can kill Grava easily because all his dangerous shit is done when you are far away from him.
And can you imagine these guys in Crucible? Reducing your total health, homing projectile that nullifies you, aether meteor that is thrown by a guy that tries to guess where you are going, another one that splits into smaller forms.
Yes, the game’s Nemesis monsters should be at a consistent difficulty. This game doesn’t need a Super-Nemesis tier. Right now, what we’ve got compared to the old Nemesis fights:
Kubacabra: Hilariously overpowered
Grava’thul: Hilariously overpowered
Reaper of the Lost: Overpowered
Archmage Aleksander: Literally nothing but a stupid meteor gimmick. Otherwise, hilariously underpowered
We’re going to skip stream today since things are pretty chill right now and everybody’s busy still digging into the expansion.
I’m wondering though if people would enjoy a more technical stream in the future.
See some spreadsheets, ask technical questions, see a little bit of the (probably boring to watch) work that’s going into stuff coming in the future. An hour in the life of a designer, if you will.
What you get up to when not streaming - yeah. What you’re working on for the future - yeah. Not sure I’d understand the technical side, but since I know nothing about designing games it would still be interesting to see how it’s done.
I have no experience in game design, but I can appreciate a good spreadsheet (accountant). I would love to see how game design is executed as I know very little about it. +1 for the technical stream
What form will it take? Grava dying some more in the expansion, another arena high speed laughathon with all the bosses together or Zantai’s suggestion of a day in the life of a dev?
