So it seems devotions like Wendigo’s Mark and Eldritch Fire which have no CD will proc off ALL attacks?
you bind them to an attack like most offensive devotions, but unlike something like Tidal Wave i’ve noticed they proc off anything; I had originally thought with 100% chance to proc off War Cry, and no CD, that wendigo’s mark would proc on EVERY target war cry can reach-
but sadly it doesn’t work like that, it’s random and seems to generally only proc on one mob when i cast it (despite no CD simultaneous procs are not possible?)
So where is the line? if an attack devotion has no CD it procs off everything, but if it has a CD it will only proc off the skill it’s bound to?
0 CD devotions still can only proc once per instance of time. You can just proc it repeatedly very easily.
Further more, Devotion procs only proc based on the skill they are bound to, for example, if you bind Eldritch Fire to Cadence, only Cadence attacks can proc it, your Blitz won’t, for instance.
Lets pretend you have 1 attack that hits 10000 times per second on a single target, and another that hits 10000 targets all at once, but only once. The first attack will have 10000 chances to proc the 0 CD devotion, while the other one will have only a single chance to proc it.
The best things to bind 0 CD devotions to are fractal or target piercing attacks that have a travel time, as a result, because each individual hit can proc the devotion.
The good attacks as a result are Panetti’s, Canister Bomb, Firestrike, (Ranged)Cadence, Phantasmal Blades, and a few other similar attacks.
Yes one tick of damage from one cast = 1 attempt to proc. If it’s aoe single tick, it will attempt once. If it’s multu hit or damage over time, it should proc on like EVERYTHING
Put zero cd devotions on damage over time or multi hit abilities and they will proc on like everything you hit. Such as devouring swarm, blackwater cocktail, bloody pox, cannister bomb
So I want to clarify, say I have phantasmal blades bound to Twin Fangs.
Then I have Wendigos mark on Curse of Frailty, will Wendigos ONLY Proc off of Curse of Frailty? Or will the Phantasmal blades also trigger them and I just needed to attach them to a different spell?
I’d test this but I don’t have enough devotion points at the moment and just fine tuning builds so I was curious,
