You loose the full view of the the UI if the UI scaling is set bigger. Setting it smaller brings the bit on the left back in view again, but then you’re dealing with small text and icons everywhere.
Edit: After tweaking the UI settingss, the left window is centered again, and now remains centered regardless of what UI scaling I now set so it seems to have fixed itself.
