Bear affixes exists. Bear are referenced in notes on items and so are in the lore.
You cannot find any bears.
Mogdrogen knew the aetherials were coming. He would know bears are almost unstoppable killing machines in the wrong hands. He wants us to mostly handle things on our own. But did he decide aetherial bears would be too much? Did he hide all the bears to prevent the aetherials from making unstoppable killing machines?
He moved them over to the new town building game.

unfortunately, this doesn’t prevent their poaching by murderhobos and ‘friendly’ petmasters.
more unfortunately, the aetherials and chthonians like to vandalize their colors with cyan and red crystals. as if they’re trying to ascend by imitating the sacred ways of thug life.
fortunately, ‘korvaak save me.mp3’ gang isn’t interested in poaching the bearthorns. most likely because they already got gryphons, metal gryphons, and most importantly, barney the chewer of titans.
And guess who ascend into bear.

We know that before Rhowan left the throne he was visited by Mogdrogen, and we also know that Mog can shapeshift as he wishes and that power might also be granted to his follower.
That can mean one thing:
ROVERS = BEARS
huh… that makes sense.
but you know, rhowan’s crown constellation description got me thinking:
why rhowan’s crown, scepter, and empty throne ascended into constellations, but there’s no mention of rhowan or rhowan’s constellation?
that feeling when your gear ascended because they got too smart.
and leaves you as a poor beggar (but this also means you have ascended to become bysmiel! congratulations!/my condolences…)

the theory that all rhowari/rovers are ascended bears makes sense… because they’re the most friendly bunch of people who like to bearhug. also, they like to make arkovian bee honey! and gives the honey recipes to you as thanks for helping them!
now we just need a shapeshifting rhowari class in gd2, and the rhowari/arkovia people can ascends into more forms!
because moggy’s gang will battle with the 3 witch mafias sooner or later!

ulgrim will make honey for us in gd2.
and every build in gd2 will need ulgrim’s honey as mandatory crutch to survive its end game…

We need an expansion called Rise of the Bears and it’s all about fighting bears. Make it happen, Zantai.
