Do “%x Bonus to damage to X” prefixes affect my pets?
For example, i have an item that gives me bonus to damage to aetherials, so do my pets also do more damage to them?

No. No character modifiers affect your pets, except for modifiers which specifically say they affect pets.
What this means in play is that you can either stack up a bunch of personal modifiers, or a bunch of pet modifiers, but you can’t really do both. If you’re going to do pets you pretty much have to go all in to be effective.
What about procs on attack? As a summoner, you don’t get to attack all that much so are these useless or is there some way to have the pets proc them?
If you assign a celestial power (devotion) ability to a pet skill, then that pet will use that proc instead of you. Any equipment you’re wearing with personal on-attack procs will only proc when you attack.
Thanks for confirming, much appreciated.
Sorry for reviving this old discussion, but I wanted like a double verification to be clear!
Let’s say you have some ridiculous personal poison damage modifier, like 1000+ percent poison damage increase (and extended duration). And you assign Akeron’s scorpion sting to your hellhound, meaning it’s the one that triggers the proc.
Does that mean that personal poison modifier is now irrelevant unless you bind it to your own attack instead of your pet? If so, that’s really depressing since I think it takes away a lot of interesting potential for powerful pet/proc synergies.
I understand the difference between personal and pet modifiers for things like health, damage, attack speed, but it was specifically the interaction between pet-triggered procs and personal damage type modifiers that I wasn’t clear about. I was formulating some build ideas around pet-triggered procs like these but they get shot out the window if the procs don’t benefit from your damage modifiers when assigned to a pet skill.
As far as I can tell only devotions with % weapon damage get affected by the damage pets do. Even pseudo pets like blade spirit with Blind fury on it will do the % weapon damage based on the flat pierce and cold damage it has. But the Poison/Bleed/Trauma etc. Damage or any flat damage the devotion has is affected by your gear regardless. They don’t become “pet skills” just because you put them on a pet. Pets are just another skill you can bind your devotion to, like any other.
Like if you use Dracarris for example. You can bind Fiend devotion to hell hound. %weapon damage will scale with hellhound and flat fire and chaos should scale with %fire and %chaos damage it has.
