Does difficulty matter when farming faction/negative faction?

Working on getting Nemesis with Cronley’s gang. From what I understand the only way is kill members of the gang.
Is there any different if I do it in Normal or Ultimate/Ascendant? I.e. more negativ points

point per kill, no
Only potential spawn amount, since higher difficulties (should) have increased base spawn rates i think

Also remember to use the Kurn altar with aether shards for rep increase (works on infamy too)

Don’t higher difficulties also have more heroes?

“should”, but i legit don’t know the numbers, if it’s “working” or if your infamy status or char level has bigger effect

Ah yeah, that’s correct.

Game difficulty impacts the bounty system: If you run a bounty for “Rostov, the Aetherflame” in Ultimate, you get -150 rep for Cronley’s, compared to -50 if you run the same bounty in Normal / Veteran.

On a per-kill basis, kills count all the same, and it’s probably better to just run through the Cronley areas without worrying about bounties if you also have the Ascension Altar unlocked where you can run the +infamy altar boosts.

Directly, not really

Indirectly, a lot. More enemies density, and enemies will always scale to you so areas like Cronley’s lair always remain a valid farm in Ultimate, whereas they stop scaling past lvl ~40 in Normal and stop giving you any infamy once you’re far past that level.

Thar worked well. I used the altar and then went like a vaccum cleaner in Cronley’s Hideout and Arkovian Docks a few rounds. Using the altar spawned more heroics.
Btw, the character I used is lvl 100 and no problem with infamy.

Important note for this: The altar does not buff reputation from quests or bounties, only from enemy kills. Also if you need Kurnhold reputation, bounties give way more than quests do (300 vs 750 with mandate)

only some bounties/only on Ultimate, bounties suck if you’re on Normal otherwise
