DoT with the most support and least resistance from monsters

I’d like to know which Damage over Time effects have the best support from items, skills, and constellations and the least amount of resistances from enemies. Ranking them from best to worst would also help.

The only thing I know about these is that Undead take less damage from bleeding but more from internal trauma and that vitality decay currently has the least support of all DoT.

Burn may have best support and easy to RR. But i dunno whether it is most.

imho poison is the overall best, huge amount of skills, constellations, RR and gear. 2nd is probably bleeding and then burn, I think.

Read this thread.

I would pick poison, but you can pretty much make any DoT build work. You have to think ahead though. Internal Trauma hurts like a motherfucker when it’s reflected (you’ve been warned).

How about monster Resistance? Which monster/bosses/nemesis have which resistance to certain DoT?

you can check those on grim calc: https://grimcalc.com/Monsters

Best Support?

Poison for sure, excellent constellation, nice components, tons of good armors/weapons/jewellery.

Poison, without a doubt. I find myself having to not take +duration items because when I run into something that reflects I poison myself for a minute or more. A luxury problem if there ever was one.

The legendary tome is basicly mandotary for a Poison Build (reduced poison duration by 98%) outside of that a badly placed skill may as well kill you

Not necessarily.
Reflection is a nuicance while leveling but later there’s plenty of (poison damage based) items giving %MAX poison resist and health regen is not that hard to stack.

My WH has 90% poison res (could stack more), some reduced poison duration, around 500 hp reg w/o procs (could obviously stack more) , and between PB and HP pots i have practically zero problems with reflection (given that i don’t play like a drunken donkey against reflection mobs) on ultimate while dual wielding Plaguebearer&Dagger of Dreeg.

Reflection is a bit tricky for any dot build, but “divorcer” only for internal trauma (cuz phys res is much (much) harder to stack (and somewhat impossible to cap)) than others.

Don’t get me wrong, Wretched Tome is very nice to have (especially for QoL reasons) but far from mandatory.

But this is just my opinion.

Not really a problem imho with a poison res overcapped.

Poison is weak. Almost one caster spell in entire game (DEE) that uses poison. You can have all the support but if you are alone spell then no-go for me. I hope expansian brings new spells that uses poison as main.

R U SERIOUS?
Well, i don’t mean to offend you the slightest bit, i just strongly disagree with your statement (“poison is weak”).

Between Tainted Eruption, Acid Spray, Afflicted Spines and Infinite Gaze (and a bunch of other possible things too, i just named the most important ones) you almost don’t even have to take DEE for a poison build to steamroll 99% of the games content doing high dps while being free to kite 99% of the time.

And the fact that all of your skill points besides taking DEE, Vulnerability and Night’s Chill can go into defensive and utility skills makes poison WH even more awesome.

My point is that you can make fairly strong builds even without taking any damaging mastery skills cuz celestial powers and item procs alone are capable of dealing sufficient damage.
IMHO.

they are not castable just rng

Infinite Gaze and Afflicted spines are castable, I use them maybe more than DEE on my WH

I used to think this but since I have been using the tome I have changed my mind. What it does is it takes all the +duration you have (probably a lot for a DEE build), subtracts its own duration reduction so that you reflect a shorter duration poison on yourself, but by no means no poison at all. It will however make you virtually immune to poison from any other source.
