Do dots proc on crit devotions (like Assasin’s Mark for example)?
-
If a dot will do multiple damage type (like Bloody Pox: 1 bleed, 1 vitality and 1 poison), will each damage type multiply the devotions proc chance (like at each 1s tick of Bloody Pox when each of the 3 damage type is applied, will there be 3 separate rolls made - one for each damage type - for devotion proc)?
-
In case of skills like Blade Arc, with an initial weapon damage and that also apply dots (1 bleed, 1 trauma), when the chance to proc devotion takes place? Only on the initial damage or also on the dot?
- No. Devotions dont proc off DoTs at all (crit included). Non-devotion triggered skills DO proc from DoTs (crit included).
- Well, it’s hard to say, depends on whether skill’s augments are considered another damage instance or not. If they are, then chance doubles (for example Torrent from Primal Strike). DoTs are ignored, obviously.
- See 1. DoTs dont proc devotions.
After a bit of testing I concluded that:
- Dots like “x dmg over y seconds”, for example the bleeding from Blade Arc, do not proc devotions. Dot like spells “x dmg per second”, for example Bloody Pox, Devouring Swarm, do proc devotions per tick.
- As MortalKombat said, only if it is considered another instance
- No (see 1.)
- DoTs are Internal Trauma, Bleed, Poison, Vitality Decay, Burn, Frostburn and Electrocute damages. All other are NOT DoTs - they’re direct damages. Some skills periodically do direct damage to affected enemies (such as Symbol of Solael active skill), for those, eacj application of direct damage can trigger procs, constellations included.
