Harbinger of souls is a total shit for a channeling caster (such as DE). You gain NOTHING from ADCTH (because 0 weapon damage), and you get nothing from cast speed (because DE is limited by cooldown). Mere 120-150% damage arent worth wasting “exclusive skill” slot. That’s why you either use Star Pact (cd reduction), or Master of Death (OA, DA, resist).
Wait, What? how do u get nothing from cast speed to drain essence? it has a 0.3 second cd, yes, but I can see my dps rising a lot if I have a high cast speed from that

Yes i could agree but generaly its not wise to go across so many types of damage, what could Devastation bring to a build that is centered around DE and vitality dmg?
Umm, take a close look at his Pistol. Then the damage type of the skill might be clear.

I get 15.6k per tick when all RR is up (which is around -130% or so). The listed DPS is something like 116k (180% cast speed and its not taking conversion into account) and raw ticks are about 7.5k. Its much easier to gear for pure aether and still bump up acranist things and some of the Aether rr debuffs are just plain better. And running MSoP with no damage debuff is nice.
At a guess Ithink the RR adjust DPS is something like 150k? Not quite sure how many ticks I am getting at 180 cast speed.
My Energy cost is listed at 390 when i remove all points from hungering reach, and at 34% skill cost reduction and 175 energy per second my test character seems to lose about 90 energy per second.
That build is basically the same playstyle except i cast RE much more and they stick around much longer, which is much more damage the DE. For the most part the life steal is enough to not need the perma Mirr + MoT using aeon (on flash freeze) but for harder stuff to is what I do.
How Foul eruption works here?
Ravenous earth needs to kill the enemy for it to have a chance to foul eruption proc, or enemies affected by ravenous earth have a chance to proc foul eruption on death?
I would assume if they are under the 1 second poison effect. I believe RE only does one second worth of poison damage per frag “hit” so it would actually be kind of hard to tell since the effect will not linger for long.
Personally I don’t use it because stacked REs that are maximized will just melt any large group and it won’t do much on any hard target unless you get lucky enough for a trash mob to have the right guy explode next to them. It could be worthwhile when you have a weak RE and no manticore or other RR I suppose but I still doubt its RR ability when fighting a purple name or whatever.
Can anyone tell me what in the game is completely immune to life steal even when debuffed by Haunt -30% life leech?
So far it looks like that Obsidian Chtonic boss Bane’Gargoth is completely immune even when debuffed, but normal obsidian cthonic are not (when debuffed I think they are other wise).
