Drop chances, WYSIWYG and random Epic/Legendaries

Anyone know what the % chance for a humanoid enemy to spawn with Epic/Legendary WYSIWYG items?
ex i got a Radaggan chest off a random Cultist in Blood Grove, what is such chance?

what about random, non-WYSIWYG/non-humanoid, Epic/Legendary drop chances?
ex. i got a pair of epic boots off a random Manticore trash in Blood Grove (since beast i’m assuming that’s not WYSIWYG ), what are those Epic/Legendary drop chances (non-loot orb drops) ??

Speaking from personal experience, chances seem pretty slim. If I’m to crapshoot the chances I’d say it’s something like 1/100 of item’s normal drop chance. Or maybe even less.

Now, I’ve noticed a long time ago that some non-humanoid monsters sometimes drop a piece of armor, weapon or jewelry that you can’t pick up. It is visible on the ground, but after a short while it “disintegrates”. So I guess that’s the reason why sometimes you can get an unexpected epic/leg drop from an unexpected enemy. At least I think so? ::scratches head::

the disintegrating items are “broken items”, a TQ item quality legacy i think i was told, basically worse than common, so they just automatically remove it from the world
whether or not that then is the cause for beasties and other non-humanoids for being able to drop armour/weaps without loot orbs is another curious question
either way, “how big a % chance” it is would still be the main curiosity
and i agree, my initial assumption has always been that it’s in the decimal end of digits
would just be interesting if “a” specific value could come to light maybe

Really? Wow. Was wondering why those existed in TQ in the first place. In D2 you could at least do something with them…

As for hard numbers - if such exist - would have to wait for responses from guys that poke through game files and whatnot, like tqFan saving the day with cold cruel facts (but appreciated ones nonetheless!) XD

You could in TQ as well. I remember occasionally having to equip a broken item because it was the only item I could get. Didn’t last long before whites/yellows were more prevelant and better to equip, but they were useable back in the day.

I mean, yeah, sure, they beat nothing, but that’s for a VERY short time. Like, for a first 2-3 levels at most. Yellows, on the other hand, can be somewhat usefull throughout all campaign to help fix resists or something.

Hah TQ, where you’re a girl wearing tunic and holding a shiv and be called automatically by strangers as Soldier . I remember having to use those rusty/broken rarity iron mace and only change it once you get to Sparta since the one that drop are copper or bronze.

On topic, I often found this kind of situation on the archon tomb, since in that place there are tons of humanoid. One time when I’m allied with Kymon, one of the guy use this weapon.
