Dual Wield mechanic flaw with Cadence

Every 3rd shot should proc cadence right?
When it comes with dual wield gun/melee sometimes you got bonus attack, so if you only single handed sword for example you only do 1 click (dont hold it) for single time attack, but if you dual wield sometimes you 1 click got double attack, and yes the bonus attack from dual wield doesnt proc cadence
why this is concern me?
it simply because im cadence build, every 1st and my 2nd attack is very weak, i need consistent every 3rd attack is cadence proc even its from bonus dual wield attack

Cadence conflicts with ALL Weapon Pool Skills, not just the dual-wielding ones. Apparently this is “working as intended”.

If I remember correctly the reason is that you don’t get a bonus “Attack”, all that happens on that single attack is that you attack with both weapons simultaneously, it’s not a separate attack.

Thus Cadence DOES proc on each third attack by you regardless of whether the first 2 attacks were with one weapon or both weapons at once.

Basically you click once to attack and even if both weapons attack it’s still a single attack.

This was patched a while back now :slight_smile: I’m pretty sure the old cadence was grossly overpowered when all of the two weapon attacks counted as 2 attacks for cadence. Which also meant you could proc cadence within another weapon pool skill! it was crazy :wink:

And yeah, the 3rd strike overrides all WPS by design. If you wanted full weapon pool skills effectiveness, better to use firestrike or savagery. :slight_smile:

It’s not really “every 3rd hit” it’s “every 3rd weapon pool skill”

So it’s like this:

1h hit -> quick cut -> cadence -> 2h hit -> execution -> cadence -> 2h hit -> markovians -> cadence

now this explain me, thanks for explanation even though i was disappointed with the mechanic
