So I’ve been trying to figure out how allow the player to equip 2-Handed Weapons or 2 Off-Hands (for a mage build) and so far I was only able to equip weapons which are 1-Handed.
Do you guys know if it’s hard-coded to only equip a specific item-type?
Maybe I could change the weapons (2-Handed and Off-Hand "not shield) to a 1-Handed and that would allow me to Dual wield them?
Can you make an item equippable in more than 1 Armor Slot?
EG: Piece of armor that fit both in the ring slot or amulet,
or Gloves that can fit as Foot Armor.
I have not edited any items yet so not sure what are the possibility.

It would be cool to figure out a way to do this and include it in our mods.
I know how to permanently assign an animation set for dual-wielding so it would probably work if I use that trick.
But when you say “Creating a new combination of dual wild would require to change the engine”, do you mean it’s possible to do such edit to engine?
Because I swear, I have a lot of time and I really want to learn as much as I can.
If I can create a new combination of dual-wielding and you know where I should start, could you guide me?
I just don’t know what file I should look at to start with!
Because then you’ll be knowledgeable enough to crack open GD’s innards and rewrite all the hard-coded stuff everyone wants to rewrite and thus doing all the work for him
