And, personally, if anything I’d say make it such that components are stronger on two-handers (I assume you are talking about components that is). Maybe 30-50%? Although two-handers are already balanced around the fact that they are a lot stronger… It’s hard to say.
I’d rather have new components that are exclusive to two-handers.

New components would be nice. For me it’s not about the damage, but often i miss that slot for a purified salt or an imbued silver to get my resistances maxed out.
I think that’s an extremely good idea, considering the 1-hand vs 2-hand faction augments already exist.
That’s one downside. Dual wielders can use both purified salt and imbued silver. But it doesn’t bother me all that much.
As you meant 2 components then I would vote yes. It makes sense and I always thought it was a bit unbalanced having only one.

If 2h weapons are suffering then I’d rather see a straight up buff to the items.
Having 2 components/augements/relics would mean more clutter on the item description + changes to the inventory UI.
They aren’t. Many of the strongest builds in the game are 2h builds.
Then I would assume that the strongest builds using 2h weapons not having the defense or utility using dual wield / shield would make sense.
They don’t need a flat buff though.
A lot of builds just need some components and it’s annoying having to settle for just one when using a 2hander.
Like using phys damage, your going to want olerons blood since it’s probably bis but what if your lacking lifesteal and want a haunted steel too ?
Also a lot of items already have a description too long and you have to scroll down a little, it’s not big issue and since it already exists I don’t think a few more items doing it would be bad.
