Hello guys, I return to grim dawn after 7-8 months and i was considering to find a build easy to start with to clear gladiator crucible, that allows me to farm for other builds! Have you some good ideas?
Thank you so much

I think you can use this one.

Safe, easy to play, godlike damage, unkillable.
Thank you, I think i have not all octavius sets! A good way to farm them is doing challenger cruci before the build is complete?
Yep, that’s good way. And pay attention to dungeons, they now provide 2-3 legendaries per run, or even more if you’re lucky. Ancient Grove is most preferred one currently.
Thank you! For leveling is good shockwave based soldier or cadence? Thanks for patience
Both are good, but on early levels Forcewave is better and you probably won’t swap it to Cadence till Ultimate, Forcewave is just so good.
Sorry vete is there a build that i can follow for leveling?
There’s no such guides afaik, Forcewave is really easy.
But I can recommend you these tips:
Probably the easiest start has soldier with 2h transmuted forcewave (with Tremor). It combines well with occultist and death knight because they have physical RR and inquisitor - because it’s a incredibly strong mastery in general. Not only 2h forcewave is a beast itself, you can very soon get Kraken devotion for +170% all damage, which is absolutely insane in the beginning. Even if you do not go for forcewave, leveling with a two-hander with Kraken is good.
Put first 11 devotion points like this, 170% all damage from Kraken is unmatched in early game (only works with 2 hand weapons):

More tips:
- this game is focused around Reducing Resistances (RR), skills and devotions with RR are a must in any good build. So after Kraken go for Assasin’s Blade and bind it to Forcewave.
- your own resistances also matter a lot, they are your main source of durability early on. So search for them on gear. Most important are elemental (fire/ice/lightning) and poison.
- Forcewave is considered a spell, so attack speed does not matter anymore, you search for Casting speed now - on a weapon and on rings.
Check this MortalKombat’s thread:

You can go for witchblade as he did, go for tactician version which is more suited for tanking (and in late game you’ll have options to switch into fire or elemental forcewave that do more damage).
Also you can do it as a Death Knight, then you’ll have an option to get Krieg Set (very easy to farm since every piece drops from exact boss) and go for s&b aether krieg build which is pretty versatile and strong.
This is my own DK, started with zero items in both stashes, was able to beat 150 waves of aspirant crucible:

This wil give you idea how a forcewave build should progress.

I found forcewave super boring. NEver get one to 100. Tried 3times.

from the scratch
for both you need to think a little for your self what items and stats you need. Cause you will never have all the Uniques and set items you need from the start.
But with this 2 Builds it works at least. Cause you can buy the Basics gear setup to start grinding your way up from faction vendors.
Most of the builds you see here in the forum are IMO cheated with GD stash. or from realy old accounts. So you and everyone new need to filter builds that works without specific kind of items.
So, you assume everyone should post only builds on self-found trash gear?
Thank you for the suggestion!
Vete a question for you! Your dw aether cadence deathknigh is still good as uber farmer? Cause ihave all krieg and also a mindwarp
Yes, it’s currently top tier farmer, but it requires precise piloting.
I recommend you to use the shielded version attached there: it’s nearly as effective, but more safe to play.
Thank you for your quick answer!
I did not say that, or did I? You can post what ever you like
I said: As a new player you need to learn to filter the posted builds.
What builds will work without specific kind of Item setups.
What builds have the chance to grow into the end build and what kind of builds only will work with specific items.
Like in every other Arpg too.
Your opinion confuses new players. Gear in this game is easily obtainable or available for trade.
Saying that forces new player to seek the builds not depending on gear. Builds not depending on gear are either not for Crucible farming or “just for fun” builds. Gear defines builds in GD.
This is impossible without experience. One must play to understand the game.
The best crucible farmer is still CT Agrivix spellbinder. I dare say it’s even stronger now with compulsory Reckless Power. I do 7:30 every time (no banner) Means even a total beginner, after getting familiar with the buttons, can do 2.5 runs consistently.
The only problem is that best results are achieved with Anasteria helmet which is a btch to get legit
Is there a spellbinder Leveling build? I want to play absolutely legit guys…grinding for far but always without programs.
Not for the one I described. I’ll write you a quick guide and post a gt link when I’m back from work.
