Edited skill not overwritting the original skill.

I’ve read the “workaround” thread on this topic: http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37620

but since the official modding tutorial states:

If these files are placed within your mod following the same folder structure as the base game (ex. database/records/items/gearhead/a01_head001.dbr), then any changes you make will overwrite the original file while you are running your mod.
Then is this going to get fixed so the intended result is possible? Or is just editing one of the skill files (with the same directory structure) not enough to change the skill in-game? To me, the game should just point to the skill I edited and read the values from there just as it would from the original skill.

I guess I’m the only one that’s bothered by this…
