Wondering about the reasoning behind which skills allow triggering of some the devotion abilities perhaps there’s balancing involved.
In particular, I wonder why I can put Wind Devil and Storm Totem on Elemental Seeker but I can on Whirlpool. In particular one of the most effective skill to trigger either on the Shaman is Grasping Vines and can be picked for both.

It is because Elemental Seeker is a separate entity, much like Wind Devils.
If Wind Devils summoned Elemental Seekers, the Seekers would be pets of the Wind Devils, and that’s just some sort of freaky petception.
You’d have grandpets?
Actually that would be some crazy hilarious stuff, pets summoning even more pets lol. Not to mention quite a unique idea for arpgs. Even a permanent pet with its own pets would be quite interesting. Would roll out a petmancer just for trying that out, lol.
