Hello!
Since today my online server list is almost empty, only 2 or 3 games (all locked at that). While yesterday and before there were much more servers. Did everyone just suddenly stop playing? I hosted a game, and someone even joined to ask what was wrong, he had the same issue with no servers visible anymore.
Is there something going on or…?
Before i had some rough 30-40 servers usually listed (although i couldn’t join most because of the ‘unable to connect to server’ error) but still, i could at least try join some.
Don’t know if this is related, but … Zantai in a Steam thread a little while ago.
"The backup matchmaker appears to be down.
It will be restarted at the earliest possible time. Sorry for the inconvenience. In the meantime, you can work around it by setting up port forwarding/upnp to be compatible with Steam’s matchmaker."
From what I gathered online (scattered information, couldn’t find a clear post) the unable to join server was related between crossplaying GoG/steam (im playing on GoG). However the servers would at least be listed for me.
Now it’s just empty. But maybe it just needs a restart. I will be patient then
Thanks for the headsup.
OT (sort of OT): I tried that manual UPnP port thingy from Zantai’s post. Computer stuff is a bunch of mumbojumbo to me, and my router is asking me for more ports/IPs etc when i manually try enter one so no clue there. I could take a screenshot of that and maybe someone can help me fill it in
Well, people today have mostly been Steam players not crossplaying as far as I know.
