End-Game Needs a buff to level-appropriate Legendaries

I don’t mind getting a crappy or off-build legendary and i dont care if the drop rate sucks, but its a bit much when i cant even get gear that is my level. Now ive paid attention through my first playthrough enough to realize that lvl requirement scales with gear quality pretty well, though it is of more importance the quality of the item. (Rare, Epic, Legendary…) so there is some room for argument, that a lvl 60 legendary could very well be better that the lvl 72 epic (Maybe).

I'd hate to speak for everyone, but people dont want that crap.

there should be as much gear variation AT lvl 85 as there was through the rest of the game. lvl 85 greens should crush whatever the hell you were wearing when your character struck its final experience point. and then the farm for blues and eventually, hopefully LEGENDARIES, and LEGENDARIES that FIT your precious build that is unique to you, and that you swear by, and “has never been done before.” People treat themselves to the grind as a reward for creating a masterpiece in their eyes.

Lest we forget in a gear-grinding game. The game STARTS at max level!

ALL-in ALL, the game is AMAZING! i love the music TY TY TY for that! srsly its gonna come to the point, years from now, that im gonna miss slaughtering things to that dark awesome strumming and ambience, lol.

please, show endgame some love though, please!

this isnt shitty diablo, the game doesn’t start at max level at all

no it doesn’t, that is just plain misguided. D3 was ruined by this atrocious idea, no need for this to spread

its not ignorant, and let me not compare it to any other game…

So ive played through the story mode 3 times with a character, then i farmed like hell got all my best in slot gear. im facerolling everything in my path. THEN WHAT!? ive finally got what ive been working for, but theres nothing to challenge me. thats my only point.

dont get me wrong, i LOVE this game, it just looks like im gonna have to roll hardcore–lord knows if it werent for the fear of permanent death i would have been done with shittier games a VERY long time ago

IMO the challenge is to acquire all that gear in the first place.

farming the gear i not easy, its a huge challenge, i agree.
but i know having a column of trophy heroes is only kind of sweet.

whats really satisfying for me is having something or an entire zone dedicated to kicking my ass with all that fancy gear.

so the fun MAY be in raising a new hero, it MAY be in farming gear for one of them, or it MAY be in dusting off a trophy hero for a good asskicking. with options like that the game would have UNLIMITED replay value.

that is not what your OP said, or at least how I read it, it wanted better drops once you are level 85, not more of a challenge after already having the best gear…

As to the when what, then this build is done, it has accomplished everything. You start a new build. The worst thing is this endless endgame of forever grinding the same char

that kinda defeats the purpose of having the fancy gear… you could have that without it a lot more easily

well Mamba when your right your right, i have to give you that, b/c a lame build is a lame build and couldnt make it through ultimate, and if the build is done then its time to move on.
–there is after all plenty of theorycraft in this game, which i miss tremendously in games of this genre.

i kind of lacked focus in my OP, but it is pretty lame that i can get lvl 60 legendaries at lvl 85. its like i wait and wait and wait to see that purple item fall, and it wouldnt surprize me if it didnt fit my build, BUT A LVL 60!!

Agreed. At first I was a bit surprised by how fast you can reach the max level (compared to Titan Quest or Diablo II) but it is actually satisfying to play while knowing there is an end.

Some builds require level 50 legendary items to work. Honestly I rather like the fact that we can get any legendary even when we are like 35 levels above.

if for every level 60 (or 70…) legendary there were a more powerful level 80 version then you would have a point, but since there is not and you cannot stop leveling to stay in its drop range. extending the drop range out is solving that
