I was an early access enthusiast, yet it seems that the “bugs” with the initial 0.somethings were not bugs, but features to quell population??
Issues of the game were so severe that I gave up, it was unplayable.
-I figured that after release, bugs would be ironed out. No. Nope.
At the certain time in the game, townsfolk get simulatious brain damage and DO NOT KNOW HOW TO LIVE.
-It’s effing infuriating to see 25+ people die of exposure per winter, when there are thousands of firewood and as per experience from the buggy 0.somethings, distributed evenly across the map.
I am bloody sure that if I were to continue with the town, numbers would rise to hundreds per winter. As they did in the early access.
While I definitely noticed the exposure bug in early access before it was remedied, I have not experienced mass exposure deaths since the release of v1.0. Are you playing on a save that was started pre-1.0, or have you started fresh settlements since? In the update just before the one I’ve quoted below, Zantai mentioned that existing saves prior to the bug fixes may still experience some losses until things naturally rebalance in the game.
