So it seems that “Bleeding” resist is not offered by any faction. This indirectly affects some builds as “Empowered Legplates of Valor” is actually the “best in slot” no matter which way you look at it.
I’m not really fond of placing “silk swatches” on everything or aiming for “vulture” in every build.
So can we please have bleeding resist augments added for a faction.
i wondered why every build in the compendium had these epics legs, now i understand…
and yes, more variety is always welcome in that case, an augment with bleed resist seems a logical solution.
…I don’t see Empowered Legplates of Valor as BiS and rarely use them in my builds (apart from un-empowered version whilst levelling).
Stonehide is a great rare prefix to cover Bleeding resistance plus items crafted at the Necropolis crafter can roll Bleeding resistance…also the ‘of Menhir’s Wall’ suffix provides Bleeding resistance!
Aaaand, if you don’t want to use Silk Swatch, Unholy inscription is a great component!
Assuming you can find it sure…but I personally have never seen one while Empowered Legplates of Valor seems to be one of the more common epics.
However, Empowered Legplates of Valor offer ~80 total resistances (compared to the 105ish Stonehide offers) and the all-mighty physical resistance. Add in some nice health, a good high armor and a tiny %DA…and don’t even get me started on builds that actually make use of the +Scars of Battle!
But even then, I wouldn’t use them if I wasn’t in the position of finding that most of my builds are light on pierce resistance and have a great big gaping hole where bleed resistance should be in Ultimate.
Going shopping for resistances does get old pretty fast. I did that just now so I could beat Aether Amalgamation - felt like an achievement - but then right afterwards you start needing chaos resistance. It’s like having to go shopping twice on the same Sunday. Just not fun anymore, especially since it essentially boils down to reloading your game until you get lucky with the salvage dealers. (And I really hope you’re not implying that the game starts at some point requiring you to have all resistances at high levels all the time.)
What’s the point of reloading your game to see what dealers have to offer? Just pay attention to yellow items from mobs They’re more numerous and free.
I think you’re supposed to swap around your augments for resists to suit the area you’re in, since augments are cheap and don’t take too long to swap and most areas feature only two-three damage types.
That idea goes out the window for bleeding resist though since there are no augments with that.
