If you’re like me and enjoy fashioning up your characters in cool looking illusions, you will have noticed that if you use any “on-hands” enchantment buffs such as Iskandra’s Elemental Exchange, Aura of Conviction, Solael’s Witchfire, Flame Touched, procs such as Ghoulish Hunger etc., these overwrite any cool projectiles (e,g, Korvan Wyrm, Hellborne, Runebinder’s Spellthrower) your ranged weapon or illusion may be firing. That kinda puts a damper on your dapper dude or dudette’s dress-up. I think it would be cool if this effect overwrite was removed, as IEE, AoC etc. don’t really have much of a visual benefit anyway. They just remove whatever projectile you might have and replace it with a recolour of the default one. I imagine it made sense originally as you’d have to be actually using one of the few ranged weapons that even have a special projectile for this to matter, but with illusions in the game, we can now all run around with some real cool looking stuff no matter our build.
I’m not even remotely sure Crate would be willing to make a change like this but I’m bringing it up anyway out of sheer morbid curiosity.
