Hello! I love that you’ve continued to support the game with the Ashes of Malmouth expansion, giving additional acts to an already beefy game. That said, I’ve yet to even make it to the expansion area yet. I’ve been happily enjoying my time instead making all sorts of character combinations and seeing how they all interact. For me, the introduction of Necromancer and Inquisitor really expanded my personal gaming experience and have become the highlight of the expansion to me.
I’d buy the heck out of DLC that did nothing but introduced additional mastery options in the same way Civilization games release standalone civs to purchase. Your class system is so extremely cool; I can’t wait for more options to explore. =)
I’m all for it too. Just some food for thought to consider tho… some might think that, oh a mastery or 2, should be much easier to do than going full expac. True, mostly. Making and designing and animating new masteries actually is a pretty big thing. New art, sound, animations, lore, depending on what they want to do skillwise it could also involve coding in new capabilities in to the engine. Balancing and testing.
Not only that you’ll be surprised to find out there are actually people against more masteries. For one reason. Loot. Not only does Crate have to do all of the above they also have to create new items and sets and modify existing ones in support of the new masteries. The people against fear furthest dilution of the loot tables as more items get added.
So, just a little perspective but yeah… I’m all for more
