Few questions about dmg calculation and PB build

Hi, I am working on my PB build recently and trying to maximize my dmg output. Here are my questions about dmg calculation:

  1. Convert X dmg to Y dmg: Does this conversion happens BEFORE or AFTER the dmg modifiers? For example, for the “converted pierce dmg to vit dmg”, should I increase my vit dmg modifier or pierce one to increase my total dmg?

  2. Flat dmg and weapon dmg: Does the flat dmg types (like the ones in devotion nodes) also add dmg to the skills with weapon dmg?

  3. X% attack dmg converted to health: Does this also apply to skills with weapon dmg?

  4. PB build: It seems the only/best combo is Spellbreaker, since it solves energy cost and casting speed issue greatly. Is there other options, like witch blade, perhaps??

  1. Before. Damage modifier affect already converted damage type, respectively.
  2. Yes, those bonuses are Weapon Damage bonuses.
  3. Yes, it applies to skills with weapon damage, and ONLY to weapon damage part. But if % attack dmg to health is part of the skill (like that on PB), then it applies to ALL direct skills damage

For PB spam, best combo is SB by far, just because as you said, it solves PB’s big issues. PB is probably on the same tier as AAR in energy cost if you don’t build a few extra sources of -%skill cost. Although PB has significantly more synergy due to it’s own -%skill cost in the skill itself.

You can use witchblade as well, but you will suffer when it comes to energy cost by far, although I do believe you can get much higher DPH at least. DPS would be a pretty close toss up, considering the raw power of the double conversion build for PB Spellbreaker.
