Terrain contour overlay - assist building placement and terraforming
Foliage filter - removes tree & bush foliage so you can clearly see the ground to place buildings, helpful to see deer etc
Overlays for coal, iron, gold, sand, clay etc. - the icons are way too small and the current system is clunky
Building overlays - check box list to highlight desired objects e.g. highlight all wells
Grid overlay - assist with building placement
Traffic overlay - heat map of traffic paths - assist with road and building placement
Meat source overlay - heat map of animal and fish sources
Greens and berries overlays - heat map of greens and berries

Some nice ideas!
Personally, I would like an overlay that clearly shows where I can build and where not. It could maybe as well differentiate between terrain tiles that have already been built on and unpathable terrain.
Right now I usually use another building to check this. Especially with lower Tier housing and roads it is sometimes not obvois which tile is free and which is not.

I want a terrain height overlay so bad. I keep screwing up my road and building placement near hills because i can’t tell where the hill starts exactly.
A resources overlay (of explored areas) will really help my old eyes
