Finding Dynamite?

I am still new to the game, a 45 Vindicator is my highest level. I’ve moved on to Homestead and my dynamite is depleted. Is going back to the 4 hills areas my best option for more or will I start finding more of the lovely bundles of high explosives as I progress.

You can do that - or just get the blacksmith at Homestead to craft some for you.

Dynamite has more predefined spawn locations around the world apart from Four Hills. You’ll find them on your way. Also sometimes drops from “scrap piles”.
