After spending a few fruitless hours searching for the accursed blooms, I did what most people do and googled “how the hell do I farm ugdenblooms.” This led me to these two forum posts:
Both of them have two different routes, in two different areas, on the best way to find ugdenblooms. I ran both routes 40 times each with the hope of finally finishing all the GG components my build needed, and now I have 120 extra Ugdenblooms after component crafting. I want to give props to both Hafuu and Weyu for their posted routes, as I would have no clue where to look if it were not for them, and also post my farm findings and what I believe is the most efficient route.
After 40 runs, route #1 netted 56 ugdenblooms (1.4 per run, at an average run length of 4 minutes.) Ugdenblooms per hour averages of ~21.
My slightly changed variation of route #2, after 40 runs, netted 133 ugdenblooms (3.33 per run, at an average length of 2.5 minutes per run.) Ugdenblooms per hour average of ~80.
TLDR: FIND 80 Ugdenblooms per hour with this route.
BLUE CIRCLES are Rotten STUMPS (I think 30-35% chance of Ugdenbloom)
RED 4 POINT STARS are possible Star Golem Spawns or possible “purple” golem spawn (~40-50% chance)
PINK STARS are possible Nemesis Spawns
Notes on the run:
Run the route, hit the stumps, only kill star golems.
2.5 minutes is me running around as a summoner with not a lot of MS and fucking around, if you run straight to barrels and only kill star golems, would not be surprised if someone can cut the 2.5 minutes into 1 minute flat.
Sometimes stumps explode with a golem, which sucks because then their is no ugdenbloom (unless you get the 1/100 luck of a non-hero golem dropping a bloom.
** If someone knows how to make those pictures pretty and on the post, lmk.
I just don’t like how many of the new rare components are required for the new crafting components. It seems pretty high considering how few drop while just playing normally.
theres also 2 pretty close to the gloomwald wp (on the way to that crab you need to kill for mainquest) I farmed those 4 for a while but it really is mindnumbingly boring.
Allright I just went and farmed your route 40 times as well.
First off I was a bit slower, it took me a little over 3 minutes per run on average making it about 2 hours for the whole 40 runs (I started off a bit slower)
In the end these 40 runs gave me 129 Ugdenblooms which I am pretty happy with
so yeah thx for the route <3.
2 sidenotes.
That purple named Golem (something the rotting mound) is a beast, he hits like a truck even when hes alone and he isnt most of the time, actually killed me a few times.
And if you are like me and encounter Kuba but have no chance in hell of killing him putting down a portal and running/kiting him to the ugdenbog rift and tping back to yours did the job for me.
Happy it helped. Haha yea Kuba is terrible, I put the spawn so people could be prepared to run for their life, or spend 15 minutes trying to kill him. Hopefully the nerf hammer is on its way.
The problem imho isnt even the ugdenblooms, I farmed them for a few hours and can make some components with those but the old components it takes.
Dunno I really dont feel like farming a few hundred (make it thousand if I want to gear up multiple chars) bristly furs and resilient platings and that stuff… and ive leveled quite a few chars and always loot those so its not like I didnt have a bunch of them to start with
Yes it is, probably route 2 is the best, but you should reverse the route (should run North ->South), as you may meet Kupa or even Reaper, and Bargoll.
