Various buildings have flexible areas - like Hunter/Forager etc and I recently read in a post that the circle of cover could be placed without being in contact with the structure? I seek clarification please. I would think that a Hunters (or whoever) range of cover would require the circle to be in contact with his Hut. Used this way the area of cover extends to twice the diameter of the circle plus the width of the Hut - quite an area. To place the circle without contact would appear - to me - to be illogical and suggests you could have a Hut in one area of the map and the circle it covers at an indeterminate distance away??? Football being much in vogue at the moment brings to mind; a corner kick requires the ball to be in touch with the corner quadrant otherwise it’s not a corner kick.
Yes, it can be placed without being in contact with the building. Hunters/Foragers will only work in that area just the same though so far as I know won’t hunt/gather anything outside of that area.
Thank you for your prompt reply. I can fully accept that they can only work within the ‘prescribed area’ but I find it difficult to accept the logic when it implies the ‘area’ could be set far from the source. However I am aware that it provides me with more options in selecting a location for the ‘Hut’. Thanks.
Hunters will hunt anywhere they are walking. So if they need to walk out to their hunting area, they will kill Bambi if they see him on the way out. Using this method you can plop a hunters cabin in a deer spawn near or in town and give him a hunting radius out of town in another spawn, and he will kill within both spawns.
Yeah, I was thinking that might be the case, but not really used the hunters that way so wasn’t sure.
