For Poison Transmuted DEE which second mastery?

I wonder which one to take… Typical choice is nightblade but you need to stay close in order to debuff , which will not be my playstyle… I will be poisoning and kiting all the time and in addition to that my survival will not be enough for ss to middle and use dee… Thus i am thinking demolitionist for Flashbang for da decrease and fumble, blast shield for lacking elemental and pierce resistances due to dreeg set, vindictive flame for melee stun and knockbacks and flametouched for oa… What do you think about this? Should i also try soldier(i am thinking this for soldier Link) or arcanist? What would be the cons and pros of them?

I think mine is better for my playstyle for witchblade

Didn’t like the witch hunter as i told you. Not my playstyle. Also your post does not help anything about “pros” and “cons”.

I have a Witchhunter with flashbang from the sharpshooter belt
You can use the pretty great pants too ^^

I didn’t think it needed explaining since I did link entire guides. But I’ll give you the basic gist of it

  1. Witchblade
  • Easier to cap OA, DA and resistances
  • Can use Shield and hence is defensively reliable in the crucible(off-hand is a waste). Also gives access to Overguard
  • Would lack the RR when compared to Witch Hunter against some enemies but this isn’t much of an issue due to the nature of DoT damage
  1. Witch Hunter
  • Dual Wielding allows access to alternate heal (better than using an off hand)
  • Has a nice amount of RR
  • When compared to Witchblade it is squishier (only evident in the crucible) but otherwise it’s pretty solid

You might want to look over the devotion part as well since you have chosen to ignore taking an important ADCtH source like Wendigo’s Mark

Two obvious choice

Witchhunter (Nightblade) probly a bit faster, more RR and a bit more damage. Access to an “Invulnerability” skill (might be usefull when you SS into a pack and want your DoT to do the job). A 2nd “insta” heal but since it is a 2nd one (Blood of Dreeg being your first) it ain’t as great to have than if you didn’t have one.

Witchblade (Soldier) Tankier less RR more OA/DA/Resistance. Near Invulnerable with Overguard. Access to a Circuit Breaker. A LOT more HP

I did Witchblade, feel like it is also less gear dependant (you can use the bottom line of the Soldier skill to focus your Resistance and HP)

My Witch Hunter uses SS to close the gap on stronger enemies or for a quick getaway if I get surrounded, but if you’re going for a transmuted DEE caster build, you’ll want procs and lots of them. SS gives you access to NJE which adds more poison on top of SS giving you an extra (powerful) attack that you can throw another proc on top of like Tainted Eruption, Acid Spray, or Guardian’s Gaze.

Also, you’re only squishy if you allow yourself to be squishy. With all the poison procs you can stack, you don’t need to throw on a ton of damage gear and can sacrifice a little bit of poison damage to allow for near-capped resists and better life.

With my Witch Hunter using self-found gear (still using the Miasma set at level 85…) I can clear any of the rogue dungeons with relative ease. She melts bosses in seconds and has plenty of healing skills to keep her alive if I get frozen/trapped/surrounded/etc.

Don’t write off a SS Witch Hunter as being squishy or being a class that requires you facetank every enemy. My build has me teleport in, cast all my spells, then get out to kite and recast, but given how much poison damage she has, everything generally dies before all my procs go off. Besides, if you’re going to use the transmuter, you need to be somewhat close so the Vile Eruption has a chance to hit everyone and coupled with Terrifying Gaze, you don’t need to worry about retaliation since everything within melee range will be stunned or terrified.

Absolutely no point going anything else except WH or WB, and WB only if you want to safely farm crucible, tho its doable with WH also.
By tweaking devotions you can make WH extremely tanky, but even w/o that your survivalbility will be enough to SS in the middle and use DEE.
