Iirc Fluff made Infernal Knight Pyro and claimed it was pretty decent. It’s still not a lot, but at least Darkblaze Pyro is top-tier.
Defiler is not even a marriage, it’s more of an abusive kind of relationship where wife is underage but is forced to marry this slimy old dude because her parents said so and it’s happening in some backwards country where this kind of shit is legal. But it doesn’t end here, because slimy old husband turns out to be gay, but they can’t get a divorce, because divorces are illegal here, so they are forever stuck in this hell trying to farm this awkward vitality pistol that has no attack speed on it.

Tactician and Blademaster are about on par with each other defensively. Tac has the passive aspects of Word of Renewal and Seal for defense, Blademaster has dodge, fumble, a hard circuit breaker, and fast healing from transmuted PB. Also, that free medal slot goes a long way.
I don’t think Blademaster is on par with Tactician defensively. Especially if you compare elemental Tactician with any kind of Blademaster. Tactician is superior.
Seal + min 2.5k armor + damage reduction is superior to dodge and fumble. IDK what you mean by the hard circuit breaker though, because blade barrier surely isn’t one.
Both class are solid though, it’s just the other has Inquisitor.

dw blademaster is equal in terms of defense to dw tactician. dw infiltrator is tankier that both of above.
Awesome! All though I have a feeling oppressor is going to take that build over entirely, with oathkeeper getting a proper vitality auto attack, and will also have tons of fire damage support. Defiler should enjoy their nitch build while it lasts lol…
Hmmm. Unless I did something wrong, my current gunslinger tactician can facetank everything in campaign up to lokarr, whereas my current belgo blademaster can only facetank lokarr and multiple fake john for a few seconds.
Hmm, maybe you refer to warborn blademaster that has 100% uptime of warcry. In that case, then maybe it can edge tactician.

Idk how warcry can match conviction+seal on defense. But my statement on pierce cadence tactician > pierce cadence bm was mainly damage. Flat dmg from conviction and arcane empowerment carries tactician. BM doesn’t have that luxury. Belgo BM manages to match infil because belgo supports soldier very well but cadence is another issue.
It seems in this thread the talk is mainly about DW (pierce BM vs. Tactician) and in this case dual blades have more flat pierce than conviction and empowerment combined, or around equal with a bladetwister’s conversion.
And for non DW i doubt anyone doubted the superiority of tactician, like ever.
This is the one constant in most discussions about weaker classes. All of them are a demo combo, apart from warlock. On the scale of class synergy demo sits rights at the bottom, while inquisitor reigns supreme.
If you start at 60pth, having a Blademaster’s easily-achievable 25% dodge and fumble means melee attacks hit you roughly half as often. It doesn’t cover everything, but it also makes the most dangerous nemeses a joke. If you’re hurting for damage reduction, you can always go phys warborn for a permanent war cry and easy 3k armor.
Also, the popular DW melee pierce tactician won’t have the damage reduction from Aura of Censure in any case, and LA/dual blades will give you similar amounts of flat pierce and OA.
Wait what? I never thought dual blades flat dmg is that high. But I presume when Steel Resolve (+armor piercing) is included it evens out
At rank 21 is 91 flat, obviously more with ranks. And the ultimate rank tends to have the highest yield.

I can’t believe there is even discussion on who is tankier Tactician or Blademaster. It surely is Tactician. Unless it’s some weird pierce Tactician (which is the weakest of all tacticians, let’s be honest here) that would mean it’s on par with Blademaster. But physical or elemental tactician or forcewave tactician are in another league altogether.

God damn, why would you ever put such pants like that on a hardcore char that you just made in Grimtools before testing it in GDstash’ed save folder or at least testing it with some other pants 
I think your setup can be improved a lot in order to survive. On a caster like that you need a different devotion setup and different approach to healing. I also think shield is bringing you down if anything, 19% CDR would add to your defenses. You have zero life steal and basically just WoR and bunch of shitty devotions heals, you can’t rely on that.
This is how I made my physical caster Defiler work. It clears Crucible in 14-15 minutes with 4 blessings, under 12 minutes with 4 blessings and 1 banner, and it’s very tanky. I mean, it’s still Defiler, so a meme-tier build, but I bashed my head into the wall trying to make a Defiler that works and that hasn’t been done before. But you can see the approach to healing and defenses.
