Game getting rough..

Ok so I am doing my first hard clear of the game! yaay me right? Well I am not sure! I am up near burrwitch and I can barley clear things…a lot of the mobs or bosses are level 56 I am 52 so I am getting beat down pretty good…So I need advice as to what I need to do to make this not easier but to a point I can do it without dying 5 times on a boss…lol…

I am doing the stormbringer build, I do not have the set as I havent found a single piece…

wtf is stormbringer build?

Lol, pretty much what i wanted ask

Ultos’ the stormbringer… just what its called on the forums…warder build.

you should show us your progress on it, share your grimcalc and a screen of your gear/stats so people can take a look at it and evaluate what might be wrong.

I do not know how to get the images to upload for my stats so…

Physique 776
cunning 407
spirit 313
health 5047
energy 1517

I actually think my biggest problem is gear…I look at my sats and it says average Item level is 38…well…how do I fix that if items do not drop?

Your first problem is that you’re level 50+ and neither of your mastery bars are filled. These are the main way of gaining stats like health etc.

Agreed, if I max both, that definitely has happened by level 60… if they end at 50/40 or 50/32, that is usually done by level 50 already

gear rarely is the biggest problem, sure better gear helps, but for the longest time it compensates for / hides other flaws rather than being needed

Get faction gear to fill gaps

I was following the guide that I linked, for devotions I am working on 8 and I am not even sure how to do it since I do not have the skills required to even bind it too…pretty confusing on how I should actually do my points…do I do shaman first or do I do soldier first …just trying to figure it all out…

Well some input on the skill setup, i would suggst you leave fighting spirit at 1, its not up all the time and it’s a decent one pointer, which will be increased by gear in the end.

Same thing with menhir’s will. Thats literally 15 skillpoints down the drain.
I play HC and i dont put more than 1 point in it. It works as a great life saver and same as above will become more useful from +skills on gear.
Increase your mastery bar as mentionend above with those points.

Definitely agreed. I would only have 1 point in fighting spirit and mehir’s will, at least for now.

Put some points into solider mastery. Pick up field command and put some points in for some OA, DA, and armor.

Also, in the shaman tree, I’m pretty sure feral hunger and upheaval don’t work with transmuted primal strikes. So those points are totally wasted. I would take those points out and move them elsewhere. You should get Stormcaller’s Pact and Heart of the Wild maxed out ASAP, and you probably don’t need 12/12 for Mog’s Pact.

Edit: At some point you’ll respec into savagery, which DOES work with feral hunger and upheaval - so you’ll want to put points back into those too at some point.

Edit 2: Generally leveling tip: it’s usually best to only heavily invest in a few skills while leveling. I personally would have completely finished out shaman and maxed out Stormcaller’s Pact and Heart of the Wild before heavily investing into solider. I may have went for 1 point in Blitz early on. You heavily invested into skills that you don’t really need maxed out early on. Not to say that the points are wasted, but there are skills that have a lower return on effectiveness - and those skills you want to wait until later and go for the more important skills early. If you’re a newer player, it can be difficult to determine which skills are worth grabbing earlier and which ones are better off waiting for later.

Edit: Just saw your devotions. You NEED to get kraken ASAP. It’s probably the single most important constellation for 2H - a MASSIVE DPS improvement. This guide you linked is actually pretty old - and a little outdated. It shouldn’t be number 11 - more like number 5 or so.

I just made a build really quick (including devotions) of where I would personally be at if I was playing your character - http://grimcalc.com/build/1007-0R698O

You could also go with http://grimcalc.com/build/1007-MqF8cy and it would be a little closer to what you want devotion-wise. I really like Hawk and Falcon earlier on, but that’s my preference.

There should be some extra devotions for you to throw around, and the skill points should be close. Totally up to you if you don’t want to follow it, I don’t like telling people how to play. However, it should give you an easier time leveling I think. From there, you’d probably want to work on leveling military conditioning or getting to scars of battle.
