Gameplay - Forester Camp II

Hey All,

When the forester camp level II is just on logs and planting, when the planting is fully done and the maximum of wood is reached, why does the forester not go into a paused mode?

Thx

Dod you set a maximum amount of wood to be cut? If so, then they should stop. If you haven’t set a maximum or limited it in your stockyards then they’ll carry on producing wood.

The limit is working fine on Level I forests, but when you upgrade to lvl II and also have treeplanting enabled, they never stop, even if the trees planters have 100% saturation.

See here, Wood enough, but the camps still employ 40 people, if their forest area is fully covered, it should be way less.

Not sure what functionality you’re expecting here, but the forester camps won’t shut down until you set a limit on the amount of wood you want them to produce. They won’t automatically reduce workers until it balances. That’s all up to you.

For instance, if you set a production limit of 1500 logs, all of your work camps will shut down until your stock reaches the minimum setpoint (default is half the maximum, so 750 in this case). Then all the workers in the camps become laborers until the minimum log amount is reached. When you hit 749, all the work camps reopen and workers (i.e. laborers) fill all of the open slots.

Sometimes I will reduce workers to 3-4 instead of 6 so that the logging occurs at a slower pace but doesn’t stop altogether. Just a suggestion, but it is something you manage, not the game.

No, it does not when the forest is also planting trees, so a LVL II logger.

The problem is not the planting trees, the problem is that when treeplanting is saturated, the pause should set in.

I mostly have my loggers with 2-4 workers too.

This is a bug I’ve run across in the past, too: For some reason it still thinks there might be room to plant a tree ever since they reduced tree-planting density.
