General Suggestions

Hello! I did read through several posts before making this and I saw some things already suggested but not everything so I thought I would make a place for me to collect my ideas, as well!

  • Barns - definitely more animals needed. Pig, sheep, horses, chickens.
    Pig: Bacon, hides
    Sheep: Wool
    Horses: Transport (improved harvesting at farms)
    Chickens: Feathers, eggs

Salt Mines? Maybe very rare or through traders like spices. Salt would allow for curing meat, another method of making food last longer and definitely something they did throughout history. This could also provide bacon or jerky. Jerky would be good for work camps and other further away places.

Wool: Improved clothing/coats.

Feathers: Improved arrows

Bedding: Luxury item, can use wool, feathers, etc

Trading Post: More workers or something. Literally took a year for them to stock some sticks, they would bring 10 at a time.

Compost: Service area

Minimap

Ability to see what all villagers are doing at any given time to better see who is idling

Prioritize repairs on buildings

Workers use nearest root cellar or storage that allows for whatever they’re stocking. I put storage and smokehouses, tanneries etc all together beside my hunters and foragers and then they still take the stuff to store it across the town?

Things I’ve definitely seen mentioned but want to throw in my desire for: religion, government, bridges

Other suggestions: libraries, record keeper/historian, storytellers (who works at the theater?)

More professions that need schools, I think there’s 2? Some other benefit to education, maybe even a factor in upgrading houses.

Maybe this is something I just don’t understand but charcoal and coal seem to be the same category?

Sort of in the game, but probably not the way you want. Cycle the F3 widget. When it shows the full details (default should be one press on a new session) you’ll see an icon of their profession, their name, and their current action above each villager.

There is no way to see it all in one location, you’d have to look at them individually.

My guess is that this is planned, alongside higher education. But that’s just me spit balling because of the “Basic Education” term

Basically. Charcoal is made by taking firewood and turning it into charcoal, coal is mined from a resource site. I think there may be a difference in amount used between coal and charcoal but I am not sure. The main difference is how the resource is produced.
