I’ve been watching the amount of glassware being produced for preserved fruits and veggies. It is an astounding amount for less than 500 people but where is it going? I’m imagining that the pub collects some for serving and people can use them in their homes but at some point, these glass jars should be circulating through the town…not just disappearing.
Is it going towards something unseen - like leaded windows or upgrades?
Maybe they smash the glass containers after using the product inside? But agree, we should have some sort of recycling system. Our towns are so wasteful with what would in reality be reusable items.
Glasswool would be a cool idea, it’s for insulation and it could be for making stronger buildings in the event of an attack/thunderstorm when a building catches on fire.
Glass wool is a 20th-century invention; it has no place in the game.
Glassware is used as a luxury item in houses as well. So, your preservist buildings are competing for it with the luxury housing market.
