Proccing stuff with Judgment and Heart of Wrath can work ok too but not for everything.
need a devotion with a base skill proc chance of 20% for judgment to be worth in most cases, imo
given the huge cooldown of judgment, not getting 100% proc chance is rather risky, then hoping for 3 base proc chances on wrath, doesn’t always pay off on single target with these 15% chance skills
Sure. One interesting thing is i.e. just 2 Guardians (or Spirits) are not that great of proccing 15% either on single target. You can see they often leave a gap when tested on a dummy.
Not saying Judgment is better by any means but it does have 84.7% chance (if you include Heart of Wrath ticks).
For 2 Guardians to have this high proc chance they have to hit 12 or rather 6 times:
1 - 0.85 ^ 12 ~ 85.7%
But in practice I don’t do Math, I just test how many times skills proc devotions on a dummy in a minute interval for example.
Obviously not the case for this build.
Vire’s Might and Volcanist Stride mechanics I do not know but I saw it proccing Maul like crazy.
I’m not every experienced with it.
IMO these 15% chances are too cruel, I’d like to bump them to 20%.
I guess that works? First attempt with Bat starting at lvl1:
Played it a bit safe at the end but I climbed here from 75 so I’m not gonna risk throwing a scorable 75-80 within timer just to show off. The (for me) surprising damage income hasn’t changed, of course, but I seem to be coping with it a little bit better. Still feel less tanky than I should be but if this performance continues I guess who cares.
Shouldn’t you 1p DEE and its transmuter?
Even with 1 Pandemic it’s around 3500 Poison damage per second 5s.
Over twice as much as Tainted Eruption.
how did you arrive at that? because with my math i’m either getting 400 or 700’ish before player bonuses, or 12k or 20k after player bonuses, all are pretty far off 3500
Sorry, sorry, per 5s
Near 5k hours in and the game still surprises me. I had no idea Focused Gaze changes how DEE behaves. It’s a lobbed “bomb” instead of a projectile going in a straight line. I love this damn game.
Have you tried taking both Wendigo and Dryad? You cant rely on ADCTH unless you have a chunk of %WD. Also I prefer (my POV) to use Path of the Three instead of Possession. Less cd to use skills and proc devotions more frequently. With fully vit → acid and 50% fire → acid, SoC is a good skill for you to spend points, as well as sustain. As a poison caster, you should stack as many as poison stacks, for example getting MI with Blight suffix, or Mark of Dreeg.
Will discuss about your gears later.
This is gonna come off negative as I gradually shoot down every one of your suggestions but I don’t mean it that way, your input is appreciated
No for the simple reason that it’d prevent me from getting Yugol/Abom which is a good chunk of survivability/damage. Just deviating to Bat and thus getting a devotions that is one devo point inefficient cost me a 100 % damage node on Yugol. I also can’t drop Scythe for energy reasons so there’s no space to faff about with many off-type devos.
Can’t afford to. My count of CD skills is pretty low and if I already feel like I’m taking too much damage, dropping 15 % absorb won’t help matters none.
I’m not really a poison caster though, or, at least not trying to be. I got a lot of poison duration incidentally but it wasn’t what my build was going for. The main damage source (GoE) is about flat, not DoT. I’m also not in a position where I can slap on SoC or Mark of Dreeg, not even just for points reasons (I have so many good auras to take on the build) but more for skill bar reasons. With the addition of transmuted DEE I currently use pretty much all the hotkeys within reasonable reach. The core playstyle may be just stand and channel while GoEs do their thing but it’s turned into a real piano build now with BoD, Pox, pestilence, DEE, mobility, CoF and ascension all needing constant attention. I also can’t drop components for Mark of Dreeg cause Seal of Might just about makes my resists ok and Seal of Blight has to stay.
Update on current status: did 3 SR75 runs, all 3 went to 80 within timer. 2 more runs to go but it feels like just that little bit of Battage shifted the needle enough.
Some attempt for devo tweak based on your last.
- Turtle
- Lantern for CS, % damage, Energy etc
- some leech from Viper
- getting back that free Yugol node
Pump Spirit a bit if you still need more Energy.
Looking at it on GT that costs me <10 % of my max health, 6 % run speed, -20 % healing increase and over 1/3rd of my energy regen. What I gain out of it is 150 % damage which is about a 5.7 % total increase, 5 % cast speed, I swap 50 DA for 50 OA and get Turtle. From that summary it feels to me that, despite getting Turtle, I lean away from survivability and more into damage, which feels like the opposite of where I want to be. The energy regen in particular would probably break me. Recall I had Viper + Scythe before going into Bat and the energy was just ok, without Scythe it’d be real bad and a spirit dump would only further tax the survivability I just took a hit on. I like Turtle but I don’t think it’s that good.
Ok guys, new problem. I need you to make this build worse. I just completed 5/5 SR75-80s within timer, which obviously makes this one of the top builds I have (hard to do better than 5/5). And, I mean, this just clearly isn’t among my top builds, not by a long shot. And I won’t have the honour of my best builds stained by being in the presence of this…THING. Someone, please, take a wrecking ball to this!
Respec Guardians transmuter. Should help with minimal effort needed.
Efficient, devastating…I like it!
not binding the proc of bat should also help, and it would be cheaper .- no money for respec needed
