When AoM got released, it changed many rules. Level cap, new devotions, general difficulty got harder (from my campaign casual point of view :p), new factions, etc.
As a result, many new chars made it just fine, but I struggle to recycle my old pre-AoM chars. I gathered the stuff, theorycrafted the build (or shamelessly got inspiration from the guides), but I need to get to the almighty level 94 to use the items. And since the characters are strange self-made builds (mostly outdated), those 9 levels are long to get (especially with some classes, looking at you, battlemage).
Do you guys have any tips as where to level those characters without too much pain or invested time ? Not looking for a miracle solution, but I would avoid the “2 hours per level” if I could :).
I use exp pots, and am thinking about BoC (in ult or elite for the very weak chars). Any other suggestion ?
Get one of your old ones to revered with malmouth, buy a giant pile of xp potions. Then do any dungeon you prefer, even SoT with a potion will definitely get you at least two full levels, sometimes more, it depends on your starting level. Level 90 to 94 won’t take more than half an hour this way for me.
Sot and BoC worked just fine with the BM, which is supposedly the “worst” of my list. Rusty old char made the killing a bit slow, but the leveling went fast nevertheless.
ace~ : indeed, I could have, and probably will at some point, but I was mostly driven by curiosity : old chars have 0 rep with the new factions, only one act to farm it efficiently (you could always replay in Elite and normal, but meh). From my point if view, those characters are flawed because of that (plus the fact that they can’t get some augments) :). I just wanted to try the new sets and builds, since I had a level 85 at hand, but at this point I didn’t feel like grinding rep/infamy with them, or start a new char from scratch.
