Hardly worth the time IMO…
Yup it seems like the least efficient way to farm items and exp in the entire game…
I’m lv56 and got wave 80 on the first difficulty, got ONE blue item
I really hope for another hotfix to correct drop rates : /
Off-topic what’s that aura/buff/celestial power which looks similar to the Shadow Strike icon, right next to field command?
As for the topic itself, yeah it’s kind of a shame that Nemesis and SoT/BoC and Troves are still much better way to farm legendaries than the Crucible
I think it’s Azrgorian Tactics buff from legendary chest piece Dread Armor of Azragor…vitaity retaliation etc.
Correct.
@OP: You got a legendary (Blueprint) and are not showing Rare items, which are the meat of the rewards for the Crucible. It was probably worth it. Change your filter.
Also you got 2 Manticore Eyes which is basically equatable to around 10+ hours of farming.
Personally I feel I can get more from trove farming. Rares are just money to most of my characters and I don’t really need the eyes. Sure the blue print was a legendary one, but not that great.

Yeah it’s the Dread Armor legendary for my retaliation character. I walked away from my PC for most of the waves.

You will always have at least one rare item that is BIS for your build. Most likely. That is if you want to optimize your build to the top.
On topic.
I feel like 150 wave might be a lot. What people feels about it?
In Gladiator, at wave 150 you get more or less 6-7 legendaries + many rare items. So it kinda worth it but I dunno how much it really takes to finish from wave 1.
I feel that I doubt they’re going to change how many waves it is since they’ve pretty much tuned the Crucible around the concept of 150 waves. It’s supposed to be a challenge.

Doesn’t matter anyway since we have checkpoints that break it into 50 wave segments.
That too

As much as it pains me to say I find the crucible boring. 150 waves is too much with how it works. My char is not the flash, I can’t zip around the screen blowing up bosses in one hit. I play a tank witchblade. I’m slow and having to chase down the monsters over and over is really annoying.
Every round there is lots of monsters that don’t leave there spawn so my defences are usless since I’m never in them and instead hunting the monsters down also it makes it more risky since you take damage in them zones, and I run out of time alot so my multiplyer goes back to 1. I would find it fun if all the monsters would go right for you or spawn better.
Couldn’t agree more! I stopped playing Crucible as quickly as I started it, went back to leveling a new character.
I got 8 legs on my first Gladiator 150 clearing. Considering the time invested, and the preparation, etc. I still don’t think the loot was worth it. I could have farmed up 8 legs way quicker by just running Cronley’s Hideout. That and the only one of the 8 legs that wasn’t going to get dismantled was Ultos’ Stormseeker. Now I have gotten a few decently rolled MI items. One of them was a gollus ring with ‘of attack’ and a random prefix. I found a pretty decent Benn Jahr’s shoulders as well. Loaded with HP and resists. I could maybe see using the gollus ring as a secondary ring on some build.
And TC, why do you got rare items disabled on the loot filter? Some of the potential monster infrequent items you can get from crucible are better than most legendary items. Well rolled MIs can be BiS items.
My witchblade isn’t runspeed capped or anything but he’s got blitz to move around. After offensive banner + blessing I was getting around 108k tool tab DPS. I was able to keep my multiplier bonus all the way up to wave 150.
I think this problem especially comes from ceratin types of mobs that break the pace of the challenge.
Thinking of those Aetherial zombies for example that just sit around in their spawn point doing nothing making you chase them regardless of wether you care about score or not, just to finish the wave. I don’t think these mobs should be in there for Gladiator and Challenger.
Other examples are the Aetherial Terraformers, Undead archers, Some Black legion Units like mages, Skeletal monstrosities and others. You literally have to go into their spawn point. This breaks the pacing terribly. The crucible is supposed to keep you on edge most of the time instead you chase around 10 waves and you suddenly find yourself mobbed by enemies that actually move around fast with bosses and Nemesis amongst them.
Some maps are larger than others which makes the chasing even more of a chore.
I sometimes dread the first 70-80 waves in a new session:undecided:. Game starts to pick up from wave 90 onwards.
I agree witg you guys, i just play 10m cricuble then i am done with it, very boring and there is no reason to play it to me.
ı expected more when they consider it as expention pack.
It’s not considered nor was it ever called an expansion. It’s a game mode. An expansion will come later.
I like the crucible tbh, but rewards are really underwhelming now.
We need some guaranteed legendary and/or rare mats @ wave 50, 100 and a lot more @ wave 150.
