so, 20k damage difference (or about 14% of damage lost). I don’t thhink like the set should feel that nerf at all, since 1) the goal was to buff the skill itself and adjust values accordingly, so, imo, Worldkeeper should’ve kept about the same damage values and 2) the set wasn’t overperforming in the 1st place.
so, my suggestion is either bring back some of the TDM (10-15%) or buff set mods.
Well, we wanted to have Grasping vine buffed to usable levels.
It stands to reason that the best set for it would need to be toned down to compensate.
Now, was the skill buffed enough to make the other sets and items viable ?
And was Worldkeeper nerfed too much to compensate ?
Hard to say, but that’s part of the playtest process too. Sometimes they aim too low, or too high…
Don’t get me wrong: Worldkeeper is one of my favorite builds too, but if making Grasping vine better for every other purpose goes through making worldkeeper worse for a bit, I’m ok with that.
Basically what I’m saying is: Maybe the solution at this point is not to ask for worldkeeper’s nerf to be rolled back, but instead check that other GV builds are now good enough to keep up. Maybe GV itself needs a bigger buff, and that would return Worldkeeper to its previous state.
I spoke with mad_lee breifly about this. The best way I’ve built Worldkeeper is actually with dung set as well, and vines isn’t all or even most of the damage. I think that crate was preemptively nerfing it so it didn’t become OP but I don’t think the build was ever OP to begin with.
