It’s been a while since I posted here. I recently made a video reviewing Grim Dawn. Talking about the mechanics, the story, the aesthetics, combat, controls, and some of my thoughts about them. I wanted to make this for a while, and feedback would be greatly appreciated so that I can further improve on reviewing more games, especially the upcoming Forgotten Gods expansion. I hope you guys like it and share it among your friends to introduce them to Grim Dawn.

First of all it you must have invested a crazy amount of time into this - so many informations there you hardly miss anything out but on the other hand the whole thing is 1h9m long. too much for my taste - for a review. My impression is that your vid is a new player complete guide instead, less a review. at least for me the title is misleading.
- The total length of a review maybe shorten to 5-30 minutes?
- Nice video editing
- Your voice seems often too soft while the game’s back ground music is too present then.
- Intro: 1:34 minutes. Hmmm that’s really long. 5-15 seconds seems more usual thing.
- In such a long vid you could offer time stamps so everyone can jump to what’s for his interest.
- In a review you could menteion the pros and cons of a game or present a summary of your personal experience playing the game.

-Regarding the length. I tried to make it as concise as I could, and I don’t find length to be much of a problem as I covered everything that should be covered to prove my points. I guess the only thing I lacked was any additional personal input and conclusions. My goal in the review is to show what the game is about so that people can decide if it’s a game they want to play or not.
-Looking back, I could make my intro shorter. I really wanted to try to get that joke in, but I do realize now that if the opening is too long, it gets in the way of the review.
-I’ll consider whether I want to add time stamps in the description or pin it in a comment.
-I’m not sure how I feel about bringing up a pros and cons. While I do put a summary, I didn’t think much of a pros and cons because people can rewind sections of the video if they didn’t understand something. But I might place a pros and cons list when concluding future reviews.
Don’t worry about being critical of my video. I want to get into reviewing video games as a hobby, so feedback will greatly help improve my craft.
Edit: Regarding my voice. Thanks for bringing that up. I can’t promise that I’ll be able to improve it immediately, but I’m learning what I can to improve my audio quality, especially now that I started recording with a new mic.
