Grim Misadventure #130: Ashen Crucible

See, Chthon? Your realm is nothing more than another one of my playgrounds.

You’ll get a stonefist rebuke and you’ll like it.

Sooooo… Where might one find that update?

Look it’s obvious that similar to Erulan Crate employees have become victims to Aetherials.
They’re obviously been possessed. There is more evidence to this as they deliberately made new Chthonic rifts weaker than the Aetherial City of Malmouth. And finally look at Zantai’s eye it show signs of possession

So basically this is nothing but Aetherial Propaganda i.e false information. I’m still the Primordial and you’re nothing but a Demi-God who has probably been killed by more than half the forum already

How are Ch’thonic rifts weaker than Malmouth? I mean, sure, the entire thing is subjective and ultimately dependent on what kind of character you play and what damage type you focus on, but… the rifts host HP% reducing Chtulhu boys and 15ft mosquito demons f*****g around. I’m quite curious in what way do you find Malmouth more difficult? IMO, the hardest enemy you fight there is the urban planning.

Aetherial imps! little rr fuckers!

So all Crate has to do is mix some Harbingers in and we are even.

The urban planning is one thing but Malmouth also has speedy Titans, HP reduction Blight Fiends, exploding kids. Some enemies also leave Agirvix’s Malice proc upon death, multiple such enemies dying can lead to many such procs and their shotgun is painful. Then there’s those large gateway type enemies that bring forth more Aetherials. Also Marcell boss fight is harder and 200 times more interesting than Ekket’Zul or Loghorrean.

Squibois in rifts are bad, the red Hentai Fiend who nullifies you is the worst enemy atm but overall Rifts are much more weaker than Malmouth (imo)

Did not see that coming:rolleyes:

I’m gonna be honest with you - I found both places to be actually on par (and easy) in terms of difficulty so my argument is based more on general knowledge than subjective experience.

You can overcap aether resistance, put some flat aether absorption on you, avoid shotguns, etc. There is no protection, however, against HP% reducing auras and nullification. Also, Grava >>> Alecksander. And one last thing - I’ve seen reckless HC retaliation tank players die in rifts when surrounded, debuffed and left in chaos pools, I haven’t seen them die in Malmouth.

P.S: Nevertheless, I am sure Galgabor will satisfy your need for strong chaos dmg bosses.

I do agree that both the areas are “easy” as I was able to tackle them both w/o much difficulty (I would say “no difficulty” but I hate those HP reduction fuckers) when the expac got released despite not having played the game for quite a while. I don’t think it’s just me or you, I think almost every experienced player would’ve gotten by w/o facing much difficulties.
So my assessment of difficulties is based on knowledge as well, and the sheer number of hax abilities those Green fuckers have coupled with “urban planning” of Malmouth is reason enough for me to say Malmouth >> Rift

As for Retaliation tanks dying in Rifts, I am not sure how that can happen unless someone was unlucky enough to move a little causing Grava to debuff them or they encountered some Arcane mob. Basically I don’t think Retaliation tanks should be dying in either places. I am even confident that they can out-tank Kra’vall and Galgabor in Ancient Grove

EDIT:

Those Aetherial Kids have RR??

Malmouth is meh, the Rifts can be tricky when Grava, Thrall and the other madness something hentai dude spawn in the same place preparing for a gangbang, otherwise it’s meh meh.
Aleksander is some kind of mythical creature at this point, I think I’ve meet him like 3 or 4 times in countless Krieg runs. I don’t want to channel my inner masochist and hunt him through the city.

You’ll find it when Medierra is good and ready to tell us about it. Of course whether that will be news on the GD related game/s or the totally new project is anyone’s guess at the moment.

We are past that year projection you made on 21st November last year though Medierra. So an early Christmas clue would be much appreciated (hint, hint ;)).

Crucible of the Legion is now my favorite level already, looks so good!

Every time I read new Grim Misadventure logs my brain will instantly told me to ready my wallets, then I’ve to tell my brain “Calm down, dude, you already owned all available contents. This is just the info for upcoming patch”

Love the updates coming for crucible

One thing I will complaint tho is…add a stage selector before going in crucible
Its always so random ;p Ah and add a training dummy too  no kidding

Maybe 5-10 Tributes would be enough to pay for the stage you want in crucible. You would choose it after u enter the crucible, talk to Lokar or the buffs guy, and you can pay to change to what stage u want. Always the same price.

Or more simple - choose before entering, like a game option, no cost. BUT IT’S VERY NEEDED !

I enjoy playing crucible while lounging back with some music. So I’m looking forward to this.

Great news!

And it’s out when… it’s ready?

Yep! (10)

170 waves! Well, well… I want that extra loot!
:stuck_out_tongue:
I like the looks of the Crucible of the Legion.
