Oh god no
I thought it was today
Now I’m the saddest person to ever walk this earth.
What he say.
They are always posted on a Monday.
Yeah. I forgot that. My head was screaming “hey it’s gonna be this week”. Sometimes our minds play tricks on us.
I personally look forward to the live broadcast of the presentation of the new class. Especially since the last one was 11 months ago.
Crucible Expanded
I really want to play Crucible, but it’s not possible with mods. would you guys consider adding Crucible into the base game so that it can be played with mods enabled? Something like a portal in Devils Crossing to get there would be great.
and if you play without mods? the game is too precious to be polluted with mods
That is totally fine if you don’t like mods. what I asked for wouldn’t affect vanilla play. the devs are making a concerted effort to create modding support as evidenced by the original post, and so I brought up a suggestion that would allow mod players and makers to engage with the Crucible content.
should be possible since 1.2, season 6 did it.
New GM tomorrow.
Learned this the hard way.
I’m so late at replying to this, and I’m genuinely sorry because I’ve been actively playing Grim Dawn for years now, and lately it’s the only game I play.
I read all the above info regarding upcoming features and changes with the FoA expansion and I truly can’t wait! Am excited to learn you’re still developing and adding new content for this fantastic game.
One thing that I would have liked to find addressed is the “Illusion system” and specifically adding color customization. And on this thought perhaps themed clothing or more variety to what is displayed on our playable characters.
Thanks for keeping this game alive, continuing to develop features and, to this day, still cooking up patches to improve it!
A dye system is effectively impossible at this point. It’s something you need to incorporate from the beginning in order to create dye regions on the gear. We would have to retroactively go back through thousands of assets now.
Alright, I understand.
I appreciate the reply. Thank you!
Are you considering any additive changes to the Illusion System, or some alternative for character customization?
Sorry, a bit late to the party but there is a great workaround for a bigger UI when playing in 4k which is working like a charm for me!
Go to the options.txt located in your directory where your saved games are, usually under "Documents > My Games > Grim Dawn > Settings. There, search for the commandline “uiScale = x” x is the parameter to which it will scale. I set x to 1.3 which gave me a very good scale. Works for the UI when you are in the game, sadly not for the Starting Screen, but i think it’s a very good workaround overall.
Isn’t that the same setting that’s available in the options menu?
I think the issue is some elements don’t scale, like the main menu and the mouse cursor. (for the latter there’s a mod somewhere)
Nope, it’s definately different. the slider only scales it to a limited amount. You can exceed that with the command line custom amount.
I hated this feature when I first started playing in Community League, but now it’s one of my favorite parts. You just have to be ready for the unexpected!
I’ve had that happen in 2016, 2017, and 2018, and now they just decide to surprise me all over again. Grim Dawn is like the antithesis of the AAA game that tries to milk you for every little mtx it can get: instead, we just get tons of free content, and every now and then they give us a huge new expansion at a very reasonable price.
