So those can be awakened, but the level 82 epics can’t?

Not that this distinction matters for players, but level 82 requirement Epics are item level 84.

An intriguing statement, given that there is no quest (to my knowledge) that rewards a particular, non-random epic. But there are plenty of quests that reward particular, non-random rares.
So do you mean to say that rares like Skinner’s Torch can be Awakened? Because actually that would be pretty cool. Maybe even retain any affixes on these rares. Oh and by the way, apply the same treatment for stuff like Hevill’s Greatsword as well. There’s no such thing as too much scope creep, after all…

A short Misadventure but oh so sweet. This is destined to be one of the expansions most popular features. Damn near makes it a mandatory buy.
No need to tease us with this “remains to be seen” sweet talking. We (and you) already know every single Epic is gonna get some purple splashed on it - and you’re gonna be the one that gets to do all that tweaking. One by one. Ouch.

Darn, that’s sad. We already have Mythical versions of the effigy and circlet, but only Empowered for the spellblade. So those 2 items could be awakened while the spellblade falls even further behind. I know they’re not a set as such, but I keep thinking of making a build using those 3 items just for the fun of it.
